2024 Programs & Services

“When we look after and care for one another, when we help others regain the strength to live, our own strength to live improves. When we help people expand their life experience, our experience of life expands too. Actions that benefit others are inseparable from actions that benefit ourselves. With these intentions, let us wander together through this wonder-filled world. This is the lotus way.” ― Dr. Heather George

Dearest Wanderers and Wonderers of The Lotus Way (TLW),

Greetings. You are among those who have, in one way or another, connected with the visions and services TLW has been offering for many years. We received our non-profit 501(c)3 status in 2020. Through these challenging times, we have managed to establish deep roots in our communities and continue to grow. Many of you have connected  with us through our fellowship gatherings. Some of you have aligned with our Spirit-centered community health programs. All of you have joined us one way or another in our mission to live with a deeper connection to Nature’s rhythms. Thanks to all of you, TLW is blossoming!

Heather George continues her role as Founder and Director of TLW. She is a Doctor of Science in Oriental Medicine and yogini with decades of experience as an educator and therapist. Dr. George is dedicated to providing services in support of TLW. She is honored to be working with an expanding group of extraordinary individuals dedicated to growing and  healing.

TLW Board of Directors (BOD) welcomed Martha Spransy as Treasurer in 2023. As an active member of TLW and Senior Corporate Accountant for West Virginia University, we are thrilled to have her eye for detail and beautiful heart on board as we grow.

Chase Hyson is a founding member of our BOD, massage therapist, and holistic healthcare expert. After completing all of TLW’s educational programs, we are excited to have Chase leading community services and assisting in trainings.

In 2023 TLW aligned with the People’s Organization for Community Acupuncture (POCA). Upon completion of our Auricular Therapy for Trauma & Addiction Recovery (ATTAR)* course, individuals will qualify to become a certified Auricular Acupuncture Technician (AAT) with POCA. TLW is providing ATTAR trainings to individuals and organizations in West Virginia and Colorado.

By combining fellowship with foundational practices, such as ATTAR* and Asian Bodywork & Yoga Therapy (ABYT) **, we revitalize individuals and entire communities in profound ways. Those who complete these trainings are empowered to lay their hands on people with intention to offer spiritually-centered healing touch.

As we enter 2024, we have created a ‘Lotus Pond’. This pond is for individuals who are committed to their healing work with Dr. George, and want to support the vibrancy of The Lotus Way.  Those who enter the Lotus Pond will have access to: private and group video calls; in-person sessions; guided home-based practices; and assistance navigating all stages of life, including death.

With your support, TLW will expand our programs. Your contribution allows us to provide more services to individuals and communities.

Online and in-person community services include: fellowship gatherings; retreats; trainings;  ordination programs; and healthcare clinics. TLW offers consistent connection and care.

As a donating member of TLW, you establish a direct connection with Dr.George, who will focus time and energy into supporting you throughout the year. Your contribution demonstrates the priority you have made to healing and paying it forward, this is The Lotus Way.

May your body, mind, and Spirit be fully healed. You are deeply valued and loved!

Sincerely yours in service,

Heather George, Chase Hyson, and Martha Spransy
